men, no carcass. Yet. I don't have the stomach to skin him myself , but if it were presented to me in all of its tanned glory, I would consider it a noble offering and accept.

flutter, you and I were counting on the same thing.

Bob, living in the town limits reduces violent options. Bringing the suet feeder in at night seems to be deterring it. Should this fail, there are two humane solutions being considered, due to legality concerns though it would be best I not specify.

sari, the other feeders do make a mess (or the birds make a mess of the feeders?) What variety of hummingbirds? We only seem to have the ruby throated.

This is why I only feed the hummingbirds. The other ones cause too many other issues. I have LOADS of hummingbirds though, which I love to watch out my kitchen window.

Cute chipmunk, he could be in a movie we've seen lately. he could.

There are various gadgets (other than the 20 gauge variety) for preventing rodents from accessing your birdfeeders. I cannot attest to their effectiveness, however, since we have birds aplenty without the feeders. chipmonks too.
