I wonder how many marriages have disintegrated because of dirty clothes piled on the floor or an automobile that was denied regular oil changes.

I want oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips and dried cranberries.

if marriages revolved around the level of dirty clothes then I know at least one marriage that would have disintegrated years ago. (If the offended party can’t stand a pile of dirty clothes, they can damn well wash them themselves. just sayin. It’s a stupid reason to leave.)
leave out the chocolate chips and I’m in.
Most of my responses to these observations begin with “It depends…”
Throw some nuts in the cookies and I probably can’t resist, despite a new resolve to lose a few pounds.
what’s with bob leaving out the cookies? that’s just wrong.
In addition, i wonder how many friendships survive despite inconvenience and distance.
Bob, for some marriage equals unrealistic expectations. Here if it doesn’t find its way to the hamper it doesn’t get washed. That’s called a compromise. And…feel free to pick out the chips.

De, walnuts or pecans?

meno, I guess the nuts could be a suitable substitute. Salty versus sweet.
Friendships that are important to both parties will survive regardless of distance and convenience.
Definitely pecans. I can’t speak for De, but I will anyways.
I think there are many congressmen who need to go back to living on the land. They’ve forgotten why they’re there.
I’ve had a lot of those convenience (in the workplace) friendships. I’ve kept two. (other than the man I married because that one moved beyond friendship)
I know this marriage suffers by both parties. I happen to be rather slovenly with clothes and I tend to make piles – paper, tablets, letters that sort of thing and he ahem thinks an area say the tools is organized if everything is on a shelf and not on the floor nevermind if you can find anything on the shelves. But he once said those little things I do are the things he thinks he would miss the most.
