de, the cold broke Friday, and it’s been a nice change even though it has been rainy. It seems I spend a lot of time standing at the kitchen sink, so it’s a good location for the feeder (which hangs @ 8 feet off the ground) the squirrels clean up most of the mess that falls beneath it.

Love the photos. We’re having an uncharacteristically warm winter. Not that I’m complaining (that is directed at you universe). Just enough snow for the kiddos to enjoy and not so much we have to feel buried. Besides, I really hate being cold.

you’re getting a bit of a break now, though, yes? Our weather broke five days ago and we spent a lot of time outside. Today mixed precip was predicted, but it’s all rain. Debating whether to take the kids to the movies or just stay home.

We put our birdfeeder out front – I thought I wouldn’t mind the mess there, but I do, and I don’t even have the benefit of a window to watch them from, although there is a bush that they sit in while nibbling and waiting for another turn at the feeder, so we observe them there.

Great photos. The squirrel shot says it all. I have a fondness for cute junkos.
